Radisson Hotel Group Opens 100th Hotel in India
With the opening of Radisson Bhopal, the Radisson Hotel Group passed the 100-hotel mark in India. With over two decades of experience, Radisson Hotel Group is one of the country's top international hotel groups, with seven unique brands and a presence in more than 60 sites, including key business, leisure, and gateway destinations. With one of India's most extensive domestic networks, the Group has been expanding at a breakneck pace, with plans to open 14 new hotels in 2021 and more than 60 in the next five years.
Radisson Hotel Group was a pioneer in identifying tier II, tier III, and mid-segment markets as development engines, and was one of the first worldwide hotel chains to enter these segments. Today, the Group derives more than 50% of its revenue from these centres, demonstrating the Group's vision and dedication to bringing hospitality to every corner of the country. With a strong footprint, operating size, and distribution in India, the Group is currently aggressively pursuing tier IV and V markets.

Concentrating on the demands of today's visitors, the Group has expanded its portfolio by providing hotels and resorts that feature modern pleasures, upgraded guest experiences, and exceptional design excellence. In March 2021, the Group expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Classic Grande Imphal, a member of Radisson Individuals with 171 rooms. Radisson Individuals is a conversion brand that enables independent hotels and small, regional chains to join the Radisson Hotel Group and benefit from the Group's global knowledge and experience while retaining their individuality and personality. Radisson RED, the Group's much-anticipated India portfolio addition that will usher in a new culture of unusual, bold, and creative hospitality, is also set to premiere this year, with the first hotel, Radisson RED Chandigarh Mohali, including 154 keys.
In 2021, the Radisson Hotel Group expects to open six upper upmarket and upscale resorts in popular leisure areas. Dharamshala's Radisson Blu Resort, Visakhapatnam's Radisson Blu Resort, and Lonavala's Radisson Resort & Spa have just opened, with Goa, Pondicherry, and Pahalgam resorts to come. Radisson Bhopal, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Nashik; Radisson Kufri; Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Sonamarg; The Elite Narasapura, a member of Radisson Individuals; and The White Hotel Katra, a member of Radisson Individuals are also notable additions to the portfolio.

With a renewed emphasis on guest experience, the Group has launched new experience propositions for resorts, established a branded spa concept, and launched Rad Family, a bespoke family programme.
The addition of one hundred operating hotels to the Group's portfolio enhances its network and advances its operations strategy, dubbed the India Unification Plan, which has been a critical factor in the Group's success during the pandemic. Under this business strategy, the Group leverages the strength of its network to drive efficiencies across multiple verticals, including talent management, procurement, food and beverage (F&B), operations, and commercial, thereby increasing owner value through cost savings, increased returns, and increased efficiencies.
Food and Beverage (F&B), a critical component of the Group's activities, is set to get a makeover with Meetha's pan-India growth and the opening of its first store in Mumbai this year. The Radisson Hotel Group recently announced a collaboration with Massive eateries as a key step in enhancing its food and beverage capabilities and repositioning its hotels as 'Social Hubs.' Since 2020, the business relationship with EazyDiner has remained a critical alliance for expanding national reach and retaining guest loyalty.
