Radisson Hotel Group announced its first hotel in the hills of Lonavala

Radisson Hotel Group today opened its first hotel in Lonavala's hills with Radisson Resort and Spa Lonavala. The destination is easily accessible by car and offers many tourist attractions, including Lonavala Lake and Rajmachi Point. It covers 14,100 square meters and offers stunning views of the Sahyadri Range. The resort also has one of the largest venues to host large weddings and off-site meetings. It is a great choice for travelers who are looking for a purpose-driven vacation because of its commitment to sustainable design and exceptional local character.

Zubin Saxena (Managing Director, South Asia Radisson Hotel Group), stated, "Radisson Hotel & Spa Lonavala was a key opening in 2021. Its ideal location and MICE facilities make the resort a popular venue for destination weddings as well as large corporate events. This opening will give us additional momentum in our strategic expansion plans for West India. We are already present in Mumbai, Pune and Alibaug. Karjat, Nagpur, Nagpur, and Nagpur. By the end of this year, we will also add Nashik.

Radisson Resort & Spa Lonavala can be reached from Mumbai, Pune, and Khandala in just 15 minutes. It is easy to reach tourist attractions like Bushi Dam, Narayani Dham Temple and Lonavala Lake.

Kamal S Malik (a well-known Indian architect) designed the resort. It is a perfect blend of sustainable design and local culture. The resort seamlessly adapts eco-friendly design principles and incorporates reused natural elements like stones from the site to stone-clad the entire building. The resort features an open atrium that is designed to reduce the use of air conditioning. Its unusual entrance lobby features a large cylindrical space that recreates the effect of Shivaji’s forts. This gives the resort the feeling of a conservatory surrounded with hills. Radisson Resort & Spa Lonavala houses the nation's longest Gabion wall, measuring approximately 21 m. It is a sight to behold for guests.

There are 103 rooms in the resort, including a Superior room with a balcony view, Deluxe room with a lush green view and a Suite with generous space. The Presidential Suite has a five-seater open-deck whirlpool.

The Radisson Resort & Spa Lonavala is the perfect place for those who love to experience hospitality in the midst of nature. It is a popular choice because of its modern, yet earthy architecture and unbeatable views. The resort also has easy access to major tourist destinations. "We are proud to be partners with Radisson Hotel Group, and we are confident that the hotel will set a new standard for purpose-driven hospitality," stated Mr Parth Bihani Partner, Monarch Hospitality.

The resort has over 4,500 square meters of indoor and outdoor space. It offers seven venues: Raj Sabha Wedding Lawn; Raj Bhawan Grand Ballroom; Royal Bastion; Surya Bhawan Indoor Banquet; Torna Banquet Terrace; Pool Deck and Board Room. These can accommodate up to 1,500 people. Modern audio-visual technology makes all meeting and event venues ideal for hosting destination weddings as well as corporate and social getaways. Every event is memorable because of the stunning view from the hills surrounding Raj Sabha Wedding Lawns.

Three dining options are available at the resort: Hirkani, a restaurant that specializes in eclectic, Coastal, Indian, and local cuisines; Malhari is a trendy lifestyle bar that serves contemporary grills and signature cocktails with a focus on local flavors. Torna, a rooftop lounge offering breathtaking views of the hills, offers a variety of dishes including classic Indian dishes, seafood, barbecue, and Italian pastas. The resort's Pop up restaurant offers authentic biryanis, kebabs and other delicious dishes. It changes seasonally.

The Spa at Radisson is a key attraction. It offers a full-service wellness experience in Lonavala. The spa takes a unique approach to wellness, integrating local products and important aspects of local culture into each session. The spa's unique philosophy is focused on mental and physical well-being. It encourages guests to connect with each other and feel part of a larger community.

Modern amenities such as a fitness center that is open 24 hours a day, and a play area for children are all part of the resort's facilities. The resort's outdoor swimming pool, Kund, is a distinctive feature. It was designed in the form and color of a Kund (traditional water reservoir), and overlooks lush greenery around it.

Alok Kaul is the General Manager of Radisson Resort & Spa Lonavala. He stated, "The resort has a unique position in terms its location, sustainable design, and modern comforts. Our unmatched offerings, paired with Yes I Can!, will prove to be a winning combination. We are confident that our unmatched offerings paired with Yes I Can! will be a compelling choice for guests looking to have an even better experience.
