ITC Foods to organise Sunfeast India move as one from Aug 15 to Sept 15
ITC Foods' Sunfeast India Move As One program, which was launched as a citizen led digital participatory movement by citizens, will help children in crisis, including those affected the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2021 event will take place from August 15th to September 15th, 2021. Participants will be able to raise funds up until September 30, 2020.
Procam International will support ITC's Sunfeast brand of biscuits. Procam International is powered by GiveIndia and the Fit India Movement.
Organisers said that people from all over the world could show solidarity by taking part in an outdoor or indoor activity. There are no physical or geographic barriers. Registrations are open from July 28 to Sept 13, 2021.
This Independence Day, #MoveForGood, Sunfeast India Move As One, encourages citizens walk, jog and cycle to pledge a distance, make a difference in a child's life, and to use a treadmill or stationary bike to ride, run, walk, jog, or cycle.
The second edition of the initiative will aim to support children in distress affected from the pandemic. This will include education, career guidance and skills-building, healthcare, and provision for child protection and psychosocial support.
Sumit Tayal was the COO of GiveIndia. He commented on the collaboration, saying that "We continue with our association to Procam International as SunfeastIndia Move As One is the second edition. This virtual initiative is unique in its kind." After the nation has been devastated by Covid's second-wave disaster, it is clear that the country needs to address the issue of our children. Sunfeast India is working to provide a brighter tomorrow to India's children with Move As One.
Ali Harris Shere, chief operational officer, biscuits cluster, ITC food division, spoke out about the initiatives. She stated, "We are committed toward delivering exemplary sustainability initiative which creates meaningful social impact." Sunfeast India As One represents an important extension of the responsibility we have as corporate citizens.
