Everrati reveals its latest redefined icon: The electrified Land Rover Series IIA

Everrati Automotive Limited (EverratiTM), a leading technology company specialising in the redefining and futureproofing of automotive icons through the integration of cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) powertrains, today unveiled its newest product: an electric version of the Land Rover Series IIA, a zero-emission utilitarian vehicle for the twenty-first century.

Since its inception 60 years ago, the Land Rover Series IIA has been regarded as one of the most proficient off-road vehicles ever produced. The Series IIA, the creation of renowned automotive designer Maurice Wilks, set a precedent as the world's first publically available four-wheel-drive car.

Everrati's expert team of specialists work together to meticulously restore the Series IIA body and chassis, which has been sourced for both its originality and exemplary condition, pairing the fully rebuilt vehicle with an advanced electric powertrain, which was designed and developed at the company's base in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.

“With the unveiling of an electric version of the legendary Land Rover Series IIA, we are continuing to deliver on Everrati's mission, which is to craft cutting-edge, capable, highly desirable, and sustainable cars, each with the soul of an icon,” says Justin Lunny, Founder & CEO of Everrati Automotive Limited. To accomplish so, we need unrivalled attention to detail and technological expertise, with one eye on making sure our legendary automobiles fulfil 21st-century needs and the other on preserving a vehicle's unique character and DNA – both dynamically and aesthetically.”

From the 3rd to the 5th of September, Everrati's first redefining off-road icon will make its public debut at the Concours d'Elegance as part of the Bridge of Weir enclosure at Hampton Court Palace.

Because Land Rovers are known for their toughness and durability, Everrati's restoration procedure starts with preserving the structural integrity of the electrified Series IIA.

After all bodywork, powertrain, and interior pieces have been carefully removed from the donor car, the chassis and bulkhead are galvanised and coated in a protective zinc process to prevent future corrosion from the elements.

Everrati's electrified and futureproofed Series IIA is available in modern canvas or traditional canvas soft-tops as well as safari hard top configuration, staying true to the original vehicle's boundless usefulness and nature. The wheels have been improved and come in a variety of colours. They are all equipped with Michelin tyres that have been chosen for their performance and durability.

The careful and comprehensive integration of a new, yet completely reversible, sustainable electric powertrain is crucial to the vehicle's transformation into an electrified 21st century off-roader. The state-of-the-art 60kWh battery pack incorporates comprehensive battery management and temperature regulation and was CAD-designed and optimised to enable seamless integration. The car's original spirit is revived thanks to the 150bhp and 300Nm of torque output.

With a true zero-emission range of up to 125 miles, the electric Series IIA offers two and four-wheel drive modes, as well as hi/low ranges for optimal traction and dynamic ability depending on the driving situation, ensuring the car's original access all areas capability is maintained. Power steering and braking make driving more accessible while maintaining and improving the feel of the Series IIA's original controls.

The cabin has also been redesigned and updated to modern standards, with a number of new features to improve driver comfort and convenience.

Front seats are heated and trimmed in beautiful, sustainable automotive leather from Scotland's Bridge of Weir, which is not only known for its great quality but also for having the lowest carbon intensity automotive leather in the world, furthering Everrati's overall sustainability aim. This creates a very pleasant environment for the driver and front passenger. The rear bench seats are upholstered in fine automotive leather and have front and rear lap belts for all passengers, which can be heated if desired.
