Chandigarh University to host Tech Fest
Tech Invent, Chandigarh University Gharuan's National Technology Festival, will take place from September 2nd to 4th, 2021. The three-day National level gathering is India's largest Tech Invent, bringing together young minds from across the country to demonstrate their talent in their different professions. This was confirmed by Dr. R.S Bawa, Pro-Chancellor of Chandigarh University. Started in 2014, Tech Fest has grown to six editions and has grown to become one of India's most popular youth talent hunts. The Tech Fest 2021 has received an overwhelming response from throughout India, with over 50,000 online registrations from various top-ranked universities and institutions such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, and IIMs.
Tech Invent 2021 is a conglomerate of 59 technical events spanning the disciplines of Engineering, Management, Mass Communication, Hotel Management, Fine Arts, Law, Science & Technology, fashion design, industrial design, and architecture. On the final day of the National Level Tech Fest, the champions of several technical events will be awarded prizes totaling Rs 20 lakh. Dr. Bawa stated, "While explaining the theme of Tech Invent 2021, "This year, the technology invent focuses on the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and advocates for a future devoid of poverty, hunger, sickness, inequality, and environmental degradation. The national level technical fest is a conglomeration of technical events, seminars, lecture series, and conclaves that focuses on the development of technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and domain-specific abilities among Indian youth."
Dr. Vijay Laxmi Saxena, General President, Indian Science Congress Association, will inaugurate Tech Invent 2021, alongside Sankar Reddy, CEO Terminus Circuits, and Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Member United Nations, Asia Pacific MOOCS committee, who will serve as Guest of Honor for the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman (AICTE); Prof. Philip Kotler, Father of Marketing; Prof. Anantha Duraiappah, Director, UNESCO (MGIEP); and Prof. Waldemar Pfortsch, Pforzheim University, Germany are among the other renowned persons who will attend the three-day Tech Invent. The three-day technology invent's main draw will be an expert panel discussion with renowned Indian author Chetan Bhagat on September 3rd, where he will discuss the 'Portraiture of Women in Media and Film'.
Over 21 workshops, 5 conclaves, and 4 tech talks are scheduled as part of the National Level Tech Fest, which will feature experts from international organisations such as the United Nations, UNESCO, and UNICEF, as well as domain experts from DRDO, IEEE, BEE, PGI Chandigarh, and AICTE. Additionally, International Speakers and Research Scholars from South Korea, Bhutan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore will inform Indian students about recent developments and research activities in the fields of energy efficiency, the internet of things, geographic information systems and remote sensing, innovative design of futuristic vehicles, electric vehicles, and sustainable technology use.
