Atal Incubation Centre at Shiv Nadar University to incubate 25 new startups
The Atal Incubation Centre at Shiv Nadar University in Delhi-NCR (AIC-SNU) has selected 25 technological start-ups to help over the next year as part of its comprehensive incubation programme. The 26 start-ups were chosen from more than 230 submissions received from more than 20 states throughout the country for the Incubator's 'Venture Challenge' contest. The incubation programme provides physical and intellectual resources, training, access to industry mentors, opportunities for interaction with other business leaders, and money access through angel investors.
Dassault Systèmes and HCL Technologies, AIC-Technology/Knowledge SNU's Partners, will extend their support to these start-ups by providing technical assistance, market advise, and access to their networks of important connections for growth.
“We are happy to welcome 25 really talented start-ups at various stages of their journeys,” stated Anubha Bali, Managing Director of AIC-SNU. While several of these are still in the concept phase, others have achieved key milestones and are ramping up. What they all have in common is a desire to create something unique, to enable change, and to improve lives in ways that go far beyond developing successful 'companies.' Nurturing these start-ups is a tremendous honour for everyone at AIC-SNU.”
Sheeba Khan, CEO of AIC-SNU, stated, "Each of the 25 start-ups has a distinct vision, and we are happy to support them as they defy conventions and improve the world through their initiatives."
AIC-SNU will incubate start-ups in a variety of sectors of the technology industry, including but not limited to FinTech, AgriTech, IoT, and SaaS. They will have access to Shiv Nadar University's synergetic research and technology resources, including worldwide researchers, prominent professors, 150+ cutting-edge labs, and nine research centres, among other enabling characteristics.
AIC-SNU collaborates closely with major investor networks, including Agility Venture Partners, the Indian Angel Network (IAN), and 100X.VC, to assist emerging and new start-ups in obtaining money. Since Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR was given the prestigious Atal Incubation Center grant by the Atal Innovation Mission of NITI Aayog (Government of India) in the very first round in 2017, AIC-SNU has incubated over 30 start-ups.
