Telangana to showcase startups and women entrepreneurs at EXPO2020 India pavilion
Telangana will highlight the accomplishments and talents of its startups and female entrepreneurs at the India Pavilion at EXPO2020 Dubai from November 09-12.
The state has scheduled events and meetings to share business prospects with worldwide investors through fresh innovative ideas, goods, and services that the state's business and startup ecosystem can offer.
Through these meetings and events, a 17-member business delegation from The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), led by the chamber's president and MD, Creamline Dairy Products, Mr. K Bhasker Reddy, will explore potential business tie-ups.
"The Indian government has set an ambitious objective of $400 billion in exports by 2021-22, and FTCCI's role is to facilitate and promote the ecosystem." Governments throughout the world have seized control of the burgeoning startup community, and we believe that there might be significant synergies between the UAE and India and other nations in the future," Mr. Reddy stated.
Mr. Anil Agarwal, Sr. VP, FTCCI, and MD of Jeevaka Industries, Mr. Meela Jayadev, VP, FTCCI, and MD of Sudhakar Irrigation Systems, and Mr. Gautam Chand Jain, CMD, Pokarana Ltd. are among the other state industry executives in the business delegation.
The team will meet with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and will also hold business-to-business discussions with members of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC). The team will also participate in commercial meetings between India and the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, it will have interactive business-to-business and business-to-government discussions targeted at stimulating trade and investment.
Among the 14 startups showcasing their unique talents, five were created by female entrepreneurs and span a variety of industries, including healthcare, edutech, drones, prop tech, fintech, agritech, electric vehicles, and clothing. These startups will present at the 'Elevate' session, a pitching event designed by India Pavilion to attract investors. It will allow them to showcase their inventions and seek possible investors. Additionally, participating startups will get knowledge about emerging sector trends, and the events will feature best practise workshops for entrepreneurs and fireside chats with business experts.
