Swaraj tractors introduces multi-purpose farm mechanisation solution to transform horticulture farming
Swaraj Tractors, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, today unveiled CODE, a ground-breaking new multi-purpose farm mechanisation solution that will change horticulture farming in India.
CODE is an indigenously built farm mechanisation solution with the goal of eliminating the drudgery of labour required in horticulture farming. CODE, India's narrowest and lightest ride-on machine, will revolutionise horticulture farming by allowing farmers to perform inter-culture activities in small rows for a variety of vegetable and fruit crops. Furthermore, the lower turning radius of this equipment allows for better manoeuvrability on smaller farms growing horticultural crops.
Hemant Sikka, President Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, commented on the debut of CODE in the horticulture industry, saying, "With horticulture's growing part of India's Agri GDP over the years, there is an urgent need to focus on this segment for increased productivity." CODE by Swaraj is a revolutionary farm mechanisation solution that perfectly coincides with the Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector's mission of 'Transforming Farming & Enriching Lives.' With the launch of CODE, we hope to give the farming community with easy access to affordable and innovative technologies."
"The horticulture market has a big possibility for mechanisation in our country," said Harish Chavan, CEO of Swaraj Tractors, of the new launch. CODE by Swaraj is a uniquely designed machine developed with rich customer insights and capturing farmers' horticultural demands. Currently, this segment is heavily reliant on manual and animal labour, and our novel solution is a pioneering step toward bringing mechanisation to this area."
CODE, with its unique characteristics, assists in the resolution of horticulture farming concerns and is dubbed the 'Kheti Ki Duniya Ka Sabse Pehla YES machine,' while also providing some industry-first features for the horticulture farmer. Among the important aspects are:
Dual ground clearance — As the crop grows in height, the machine's ground clearance can be raised, decreasing the need for manual operations.
Bi-directional driving — The bi-directional function allows for operations with attachments positioned in front of the machine, making it ideal for reaper operations in paddy fields.
CODE will first be available in Swaraj dealerships in Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, before gradually expanding to other states.
The device also includes guaranteed servicing support for a worry-free ownership experience.
